Managing Rainwater for Healthy Watersheds on Vancouver Island

The Capital Regional District is hosting a workshop on Low Impact Development (LID) rainwater management techniques on November 28th 2009.

“The workshop will provide participants with an overview of what homeowners can do to manage rainwater on their property,” reports Brianne Czypyha, Environmental Science Officer with the Stormwater, Harbours and Watersheds Programs. For a workshop overview, click on Managing Rainwater for Healthy Watersheds. To register, please contact stormwater@crd.bc.ca or (250)360-3256.

Note: I have attended two of the sessions facilitated by Kim Stephens, who is leading the way by bringing education regarding healthy watersheds to the communites. I highly recommend that any one interested in building new projects, attend this workshop.
