Town of Comox on Vancouver Island Starting Official Community Plan Update
The Town of Comox will be launching an update of their Official Community Plan (OCP) on Monday, November 16th at 7pm at d’Esterre House in Comox. Residents are invited to review the OCP to identify the key areas of concern, such as sustainability, land servicing and design guidelines, economic development, affordable housing, demographic changes and other issues such as addressing climate change.
The Official Community Plan (OCP) update will integrate with other studies currently underway such as the Regional Growth Strategy, Regional Water Strategy and the Sewer Strategy. The Town of Comox would like to hear from the public with regards to the OCP. Currently a link is being set up on the website to advise people of the updates. Additional meetings are also being held over the next 18 months. This link should be operational in the next week from the Town of Comox website.
