Crown Isle Receives Approval for Rezoning Application in the Comox Valley

A rezoning application has been approved by the City of Courtenay for changes to zoning on two parcels of land. Silverado Land Corp. has applied to take the density and floor space from their industrial zoned property located at Ryan and Anderton Roads and incorporate it into their commercially zoned property located between Crown Isle Drive and Elderberry Crescent. A variance has also been submitted to allow for buildings to be 15 metres tall instead of the existing CD-1A zoning that allows for 9.15 metre buildings. A development permit is expected to be presented to planning staff shortly for new retail stores to be located on the site. Construction is expected to begin on the new commercial real estate projects once all approvals are in place.
