1stView.ca Sponsors Kwame the “Snow Leopard” from the Ghanaian Olympic Team

We at 1stView.ca were very proud to participate as of one of the sponsors who assisted Kwame Nkrumah-Acheamphong also known as the “Snow Leopard” in his quest as the sole member of the Ghana Ski Team to compete in the Vancouver 2010 Olympic Games. Kwame’s story is an inspiring one, as he hopes his participation in the Olympic Games will inspire children in his own country to take part in sports and to reach for the top of their game. Kwame was in the Comox Valley, training at Mt. Washington Ski Resort and hosted by the Comox Valley Chamber of Commerce in early February. I was felt very privleged to meet Kwame and his team of volunteers as they have come to the Vancouver Olympic Games with a belief that they compete with courage – and they did, without any funding from his country. The business owners of the Comox Valley really stepped up to assist Kwame and it was my personal privilege to participate with supporting this inspiring young man.  Photo by Gordon Ross.
