Comox Valley Regional District Growth Strategy Study

Mandated for Completion at the End of 2010

The Comox Valley Regional District will hold a public hearing next month in regards to the Regional Growth Strategy in the Comox Valley on Vancouver Island.

The Comox Valley Regional District worked with Courtenay, Comox and Cumberland to create a plan that will lead to growth strategy. This plan is intended to promote residential settlement that is socially, economically and environmentally healthy and that will make effective use of public facilities, services, land and other resources in the Comox Valley on Vancouver Island.

The Regional Growth Strategy project has received a grant for $400,000 from the province. This Vancouver Island project is mandated for completion at the end of 2010.
