Former Edgewater Pub and Restaurant in Comox to be replaced by Hotel

Development Permit Application Resubmitted for Construction of Vancouver Island Hotel

A revised development permit application for the construction of a 62-unit hotel in Comox on Vancouver Island has been resubmitted to the Town of Comox. This new Vancouver Island hotel development has a West Coast style design and also includes plans for a restaurant, a swimming pool, a hot tub and meeting rooms.

The revisions on the application includes changes to the underground parking from two levels to one underneath the building, and additional parking will be accommodated on an adjacent property.

The new Comox Valley hotel will contain 62 suites, a combination of one and two bedroom suites and will replace the former Edgewater pub and restaurant located in Comox on Vancouver Island. The new Vancouver Island project will be built to LEEDS standards and a construction start date has not yet been determined.

Preliminary plans are being drawn up for a washroom and marina building to serve the boaters at the Comox marina. Once approval has been received for the building, the structure is expected to be built on a floating dock.
